I am passionate about making my own natural and affordable home and body products, and creating a fresh, calming and healthy home.  I wanted to create this space on the internet to share my homemade and affordable recipes and projects to inspire and empower you to take control of your home environment.

Here on my blog, you will find non-toxic home and body recipes which are very easy and affordable and require just a few basic ingredients. 

Why make your own products? 

It is better for our planet – Reduce your demand for nasty chemicals and plastic consumption and replace with pretty reusable containers and natural, safe ingredients.

You are in control of the ingredients – Great for sensitive skin and allows you to choose your favourite fragrances, or go fragrance free. I use essential oils when I can, as not only are they a very effective natural ingredient, they also have a very positive effect on your mental health. I remember when I first added them to cleaning products, I realised that I was creating beauty in the mundane. I’m not saying I now enjoy cleaning the bathroom but I definitely don’t find it such a chore. I know how uplifting and calming the scent of my products will make me feel.

Can be cheaper – Store bought products can be expensive, especially the more natural ones. Making your own can require more time (although I ensure my recipes are super easy and quick) but they can save you money. To achieve this you often have to buy in bulk. But it will work out cheaper over time and a lot of this stuff has a really long shelf life. Many of my recipes use the same stuff, so you do not have to buy lots of different ingredients. And buying in bulk means you are reducing packaging waste.

This blog also includes home projects which will show you what you can achieve on a budget to create a cosy and calming minimalist (ish) home.
